The ASA has made the following changes for 2012:

1) Cap raised to $1,250 for graduate student travel/hotel reimbursement for those who are presenting or commenting on papers at the ASA national meeting;
2) A $30 per room per night rebate on the nightly room rate for all who stay at the official hotel; and
3) A $300 travel award given to grad students (and undergrads!) who submit a reasonable candidate for a paper that is not accepted at the national ASA.  This is a 1-time award to be made at the Program Chair's discretion.
